Companies who employ people managers are already showing that they are sold on the idea of employee retention and talent attraction as having real long-term value, so to land these roles you’ll need to demonstrate that you’re bursting with ideas and have the experience to see them through.
Experience in the sector of the company will help with your chances. All sectors have their own subtle differences when it comes to how employees respond to certain initiatives and motivations, and sometimes those with a generic knowledge of people management would overlook these factors.

Once known informally as Copperopolis because of its fame as a region for smelting Cornish copper, Swansea has transformed itself from a typical Industrial Revolution city to a modern, fashionable and affluent part of Wales. With excellent transport connections in the shape of the A4067, A4217 and A48 and the South Wales Mainline, the zone continues to attract businesses, which means the logistics element is regularly on the lookout for People Manager positions to be filled.
