Senior Buyer - Food Industry
Location: Surrey 4 days on site (Friday WFH)
Up to £60,000 PA Bonus Benefits
Are you an experienced Buyer looking for your next challenge in the food industry? Do you have a keen eye for sourcing quality products, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for managing supplier relationships? If so, read on!
My client is seeking a Buyer / Senior Buyer to join a well-established business, working closely with the Head of Procurement. You'll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the purchasing process, ensuring they secure the best products at the most competitive prices.
What You'll Be Doing
✅ Sourcing products that meet customer specifications for price, lead time, and quality
✅ Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best deals and payment terms
✅ Managing tenders and providing pricing updates to Sales & Marketing
✅ Ensuring compliance with ethical sourcing policies
✅ Assisting with logistics, imports, and customs processes
✅ Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
What They're Looking For
✔ 3 years of buying experience, ideally in food procurement.
✔ Strong negotiation and commercial skills
✔ Excellent organisational and time management abilities
✔ Detail orientated
✔ Knowledge of international shipping & supply chain operations (a plus!)
✔ Strong IT & spreadsheet skills
✔ Fluency in French or Spanish is a bonus
