Recruitment graduates climb the Cast UK career ladder

Specialist recruitment company, Cast UK, has promoted Madeline Hughes and Jordan Lloyd to consultant roles, after they both joined the agency’s Graduate Training Academy six months ago. Cast UK, which specialises in recruiting specifically in procurement, supply chain and logistics and has offices in Manchester, Birmingham and London, launched its Graduate Training Academy in 2013 to support high calibre graduates in their career development. Madeline, who lives in Manchester city centre, graduated in 2012 and joined Cast UK after gaining experience with a leading online fashion brand as a marketing and social media assistant. She was drawn by the recruitment agency’s graduate proposition, offering the opportunity to fulfil her career ambitions as part of a driven, talented and friendly team. She joined Cast UK in the role of resourcer, working exclusively with candidates to support and advise them through the recruitment process. As part of the company’s Graduate Training Academy, Madeline benefitted from one-to-one support from an experienced consultant within the organisation to mentor her. Working alongside Madeline, Jordan was also drawn by the career opportunity offered by Cast UK’s graduate scheme. Having graduated in 2011 and gained experience in customer service and business development in banking, Jordan joined Cast UK with ambitions to pursue his career in recruitment. Madeline and Jordan have now taken on consultant roles within the company, working specifically with clients in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, transport and freight-forwarding. Commenting on this Madeline said: “I’m an ambitious person and keen to keep learning and   progress my career.  It’s good to be part of team with such a strong work ethic who are also really passionate about sharing knowledge and supporting the next generation of talent.” Jordan added: “It’s been a great opportunity to learn from experts in our specialist areas. I feel like my six months as a resourcer here have given me a really solid foundation for career growth.” Wayne Brophy, managing director of Cast UK, reiterated the importance of harnessing bright talent in the recruitment market: “Having grown the team to 29 in the last year, we have recognised the importance of supporting young, ambitious graduates in what is a very competitive marketplace. “We’ve developed a model that enables them to benefit from the expertise of senior team members, with a one-to-one pairing process, while giving them the opportunity to learn and develop their career with us. We’re thrilled to announce Madeline and Jordan’s promotions as they are both real assets to the team.”
