How we delivered for Bunzl Catering

Utilizing their global purchasing power, Bunzl Catering Supplies source responsibly, ethically manufactured products from the UK and overseas, via trusted supplier partnerships.

Consolidating these products in a national network of 7 operating branches and a National Distribution centre in Birch Coppice, Tamworth, BCS deliver to their customers on their fleet of liveried vehicles.

The brief

BCS required 42 employees for a completely new site in Harlow, Essex. This included managers, supervisors, administration staff, warehouse operatives as well as drivers.

The challenge

The lead time of 10 weeks from recruitment to site opening date was very tight.

Our approach

• We met with the senior management to agree a clear brief and timescales.
• We assigned a dedicated team consisting to an Account Director and 2 consultants as well as admin support for the project.
• We conducted regular review sessions with Bunzl to ensure the project stayed on track.
• We worked in partnership with the Bunzl team to ensure a slick interview process and assessment centres organisation.

The results

From site OM down to every driver, we sourced, interviewed & assessed all candidates in partnership with Bunzl. The entire project took 10 weeks from start to the site opening with a total of 47 roles recruited.

Cast UK recently completed a large recruitment assignment on our behalf, recruiting all required employees at every level from Operations Manager through to drivers for a newly constructed site in Harlow.
