Hot seat: Rosie Williamson, Buying & Merchandising Recruitment

Blog

Rosie joins Cast UK as part of our Purchasing and Supply Chain team with experience at a global recruitment company and a degree in Fashion Buying. We talked to Rosie about her first month with Cast UK, why she decided to make the move and what she loves about working for Cast UK so far:
1. What attracted you most about a career with Cast UK?
I wasn’t actually looking for a career move particularly in recruitment but I had heard really good things from my friend who was actually placed by Cast UK in her first buying role. Also from speaking Rachel, the internal recruiter here, I got a really good vibe for the organisation.
2. How would you describe the Cast UK culture and working environment?
I would say that’s it quite relaxed here but no-one seems to take advantage of that. There’s great support and training from other staff to provide you with the tools that you need. Everyone here is really friendly, welcoming and helpful.
3. What do you think of the benefits that Cast UK offers to employees?
They offer trips away if you’ve done really well and achieved targets. There’s other things like the onsite gym if you wanted to use it and free fruit available every day in the office.
4. What advice would you give to any sales professional considering a career with Cast UK?
I would definitely say that if, like I was, you’re considering a sensible career move into an organisation where you are really looking to kind of build your career, grow and pick up new skills, as well as working within a team that you really look forward to working with every day, then I would say that Cast UK is for you.
5. Finally, what do you enjoy the most about working at Cast UK?
I really enjoy being around my colleagues.  Speaking to new candidates and clients every day and really building my relationships with them and also building on my industry knowledge with what I can learn for them.
