Children in Need capers at Cast towers
Blog
It’s not every day that you’re interviewed by an MD in a Big Bird costume. First impressions would suggest this might be a complex ‘mind-game’ strategy to test your reactions, but in reality for the team at Cast UK, it was a bit of fun in the name of charity.
On Friday 13th November, instead of reaching for the usual office attire in the wardrobe, members of the Cast UK team were tasked with wearing fancy dress for the day to raise funds for the Children in Need appeal, supporting thousands of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. ‘Orange Towers’ was home to an eclectic bunch of recruitment specialists, from Superman to an astronaut, Where’s Wally?, an adult-sized Teenage Mutant Hero Turtle… and everything imaginable in between! Thanks to support from kind clients and donors, the team raised £345, and our philanthropic MD, Wayne, matched the total to boost the fundraising effort to £690. Commenting on the event, Wayne said: “The team at Cast UK subscribe to a ‘work hard, play hard’ philosophy so we embraced the day with gusto and there was even some healthy costume rivalry in the ranks. “We had a great, if surreal, day in the office and also did our bit to show support for a worthy cause.”
