Cast UK new starters invited to see Bunzl Healthcare supply chain in action

Blog

A client of Cast UK’s since 2009, Bunzl Healthcare is one of the nation’s largest distributors of leading branded and own-brand medical consumables to all areas of the healthcare market. It offers a range of traditional and bespoke supply chain solutions to meet customers’ requirements in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare environment. Bunzl Healthcare has established a reputation for understanding the unique requirements of each market sector and offering total solutions, providing measurable benefits to its customers, with operations across North America, Europe and Australasia.  With continuing growth on the agenda, it seemed like an unmissable opportunity for our new starters to witness the business in operation. Four of our team’s new faces (Emma Taylor, Chris Gradwell, George Collier and Matt Owen) attended the site tour and presentation at Bunzl’s 55,000 sq ft Manchester depot, where they were shown how the Bunzl Healthcare supply chain worked and how the warehouse and distribution operation functioned. Gary Robinson, sales director for Cast UK, commented on the site visit: “It’s a real coup to have the support of Bunzl Healthcare to really bring our training and induction programme to life. As specialist recruiters within the purchasing, buying, supply chain and logistics markets it’s important that our consultants have a full understanding of the sector. We’d particularly like to thank Bunzl Healthcare’s operations director, Mike Parsonage, for making this happen.” Mike Parsonage added: “Bunzl Healthcare has been working with Cast UK for five years to attract and recruit talented supply chain and logistics people to support the growth and development of our business. We have always enjoyed a collaborative relationship and we see cultural and team fit as a critical element of our selection process. “It was a great opportunity to welcome members of the Cast UK team to visit our premises in Manchester, where they were able to spend some time with our supply chain and logistics teams, to enhance their understanding of our environment, markets, ways of working and business culture.”
