Cast UK launch Interim and Contract division

The interim team will be managed by Mark Nesbit, sourcing high calibre, managerial level interim professionals and specialists in contract work in the Procurement, Buying and Merchandising, Supply Chain and Logistics sectors. The expansion of the interim and contract department reflects our year-on-year growth and improved performance in our markets. It is expected that this service will drive future growth as the Recruitment and Employment Federation’s (REC) annual report states that £28.5 billion was achieved through temporary and contract business in 2014-2015, demonstrating a shift in the market. This change in the market provides a solution to businesses requiring short-term strategic skills due to advancements in technology changing operational models and traditional processes. Wayne Brophy, managing director of Cast UK, considers technology to be a driver of efficiency, having introduced a new cloud-based system for clients and contractors to approve and submit timesheets online. We have also recently introduced cloud software that allows us to set up self-bill agreements with our contractors, creating automatically generated invoices on the contractors’ behalf, thus streamlining our processes.
