Cast UK continue to scale the echelons of CILT membership

Two of Cast UK’s executives and one consultant have had their commitment to the logistics and transport industry recognised by being awarded new membership grades in the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK). Cast UK’s MD Wayne Brophy is now a Chartered Fellow of the institute, while MD of Cast UK’s Logistics division Gary Robinson and consultant Rob Garner have been awarded Chartered Member status. Several other logistics consultants have submitted their applications for Charterships and Fellowships and are awaiting acceptance by the CILT’s Membership Panel. The CILT is a 33,000-strong international body that promotes excellence in the logistics, supply chain and transport industries. Members take advantage of education and research that will help them in their careers; each one is part of a global membership that feeds back into this pursuit of quality. Chartered Fellowship (FCILT) is the highest attainable grade and is awarded to CILT Members with seven consecutive years’ activity in a high-responsibility role within transport and logistics. Chartered Membership (CMILT) occupies the second tier and requires a blend of accredited qualifications and at least two years’ transport or logistics management experience. Next is full Membership, where an accredited qualification is required, and finally there is an entry-level Affiliate Membership, with few qualifying conditions but no voting rights or post-nominal letters.
