A key message that stood out for us was from Art Papas, Bullhorn CEO, in his opening keynote speech; "You are only as good as your worst customer interaction”. This could not be more true in the current competitive recruitment market, where business reputation is paramount and bad customer service is detrimental to your brand. This emphasised that the values of Bullhorn are very much in line with our own, in that providing outstanding customer service is central to our offering. We were also excited to see our very own Wayne Brophy sat on the customer panel, giving his view of the current recruitment market, economic climate and how we’re using technology and Bullhorn within our business to stay ahead.
Other key takeaways from the event were:
- The outlook for recruitment industry following Brexit is positive. Post-Brexit vote research reported that 64% of recruitment consultancies expected revenue to increase over the next couple of years and many agencies are finding opportunities for growth in the aftermath of the vote. - A very insightful presentation by Andy Ingham and Vince Mclaughlin revealed exciting news that technology, data and CRM will play a significant role in unlocking the potential for growth for recruitment firms. - Technology as a key driver of change for the industry will include artificial intelligence, robotics and automation to shape the way we work. Recruitment firms that are adapting to change and utilising new technology the most effectively will be in the best position to grow. The Star Wars-themed day came complete with life-sized robot cakes, light sabers and both the Bullhorn CEO and CTO performing in their very own cool rock band, Stampede! We’re really excited for what the Bullhorn 2017 version has to offer and can’t wait for next year’s Bullhorn Live event.
