Amongst the Christmas celebrations, drinks & nibbles, our MD Wayne Brophy delivered his annual speech & summary of our year in 2016.
Wayne summarised that although 2016 has been an unusual year in some respects with the Brexit vote prompting caution in some sectors, in others, such as
Retail &
FMCG, the pace of recruitment & the desire to find the best talent in a candidate-scarce market meant that in the latter half of the year recruitment requirements increased.
Looking ahead to 2017, Wayne voiced his conviction that the competition to hire the best people will only increase, and that this will have a knock on effect on the already booming contract & interim markets. With this background, Cast UK announced exciting plans to add to our management team for the coming year to ensure we can continue to provide excellent services to our clients, in particular in the FMCG, Retail &
Contract sectors, as well to continue to build out our HR offering. To finish off the year on a high, the winners of the 2016 Orange Awards were also announced as 4 of our team were awarded an Orange Award & Selfridges vouchers. So a massive congratulations to Adena who won “Best Newcomer of the Year”, Rosie as “Consultants’ Consultant of the Year”, Gareth Steggles as “Manager of the Year” and finally Aimee as “Employee of the Year”.
