Because of the HR tasks involved in the role, a firm backing in HR to managerial level will be required. The rewards for this job, however, can be immense, with pride and satisfaction coming from a well thought out strategy that delivers on company policy with the minimum of interference. If you’ve ever been within 100 metres of a pub quiz, you’ll know that Berwick Rangers is the only English football club to play in the Scottish league, and thus that Berwickshire is right on the England-Scotland border. The county, however, was definitely Scottish, and although it still exists in locals’ hearts, it is technically the eastern part of the Scottish Borders county.

Like much of the Scottish Borders, the Berwickshire area is sparsely populated; indeed its historic county town, Duns, is home to fewer than 3000 people. The area still retains close links with its former county town Berwick-on-Tweed, and even through even that town only has a population of just over 10,000, it represents the best place to look for Employee Relations Manager jobs or similar positions.
