We wish you a Merry Castmas

As the year draw to close, we like to put down our phones for a second (or two) to consider the last 12 months & how we can improve next year… To be honest, 2016 has been a little different than other years, not least because of the Brexit vote in June, which is still rippling across the British economy and no doubt will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. The result has been an unpredictable year for all. For us, business has been steady but we are now seeing increased industry confidence in the last couple of months and expect this to continue throughout 2017 as the skills gap shortages continue to bite. Technology disruptors abound in all of our specialist sectors, with IoT, Omnichannel, the promise of driverless trucks & drones dropping packages from the sky all much talked about in 2016’s media. Well, the recruitment industry is no different. We have spent a lot of time this year reviewing new software & technology, helped along by our new in-house developer Phil, to make sure we have nothing but the best sales and marketing tools at our disposal. Of course while technology enables us, our focus remains on supporting and developing our brilliant teams, indeed, we have some exciting plans looming in 2017 for Cast UK so watch this space! Finally, all that remains for me to do is to raise a glass of mulled wine as we speed towards Christmas Day & look forward to a surfeit of turkey, crackers & Only Fools & Horses repeats on tv.
