The skills required
Management of people is a skill that will be essential in the operations manager, as they might oversee other managers as well as general staff members. Communicating company policy between the board and the workers is also key, so skills in performing this task clearly and accurately will be essential.
An ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and to consistently hit targets will matter immensely in the job, as customer satisfaction or tolerance can never be taken for granted in business.
An ability to spot inefficiencies and deal with them in a timely manner will greatly improve the profitability of the company and will therefore make the operations manager a valued member of any team. Doing this well whilst maintaining morale and customer satisfaction is key to the job.

The A96 passes through the county as it joins Aberdeen and Inverness, as the A941 and A95 head south, through the Caingorms, eventually joining the A9.
The main settlement of Moray, Elgin, is a reasonably large town by northern Scottish standards, with around 25,000 inhabitants, and is the main centre of employment in the County of Moray. Anyone looking for Operations Manager positions in this county should look to Elgin first, but also Inverness. Aberdeen is about 90 minutes’ drive from the heart of Moray, too, so could be a commuter’s option.
