The skills required
Typically, a Logistics Director applicant should hold a recognised logistics qualification and be educated to a degree level with significant previous managerial experience.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills are a must and successful candidates should be comfortable making presentations and reporting to clients and senior stakeholders.
You will need to work well as part of a team and leadership skills are a must. Delegating tasks, motivating staff and providing training will all be major parts of the position, no matter which company you work for, so you should be able to do these things with ease.

Anglesey is an island county off the coast of North Wales, but is an integral part of Wales itself, with Welsh culture part of its inherent makeup. The island was joined to mainland Wales in the nineteenth century by two bridges near Bangor, one designed by Thomas Telford, the other by Robert Stephenson. Anglesey’s population of around 70,000 is concentrated mainly in the north-west port of Holyhead, which houses around 14,000. It is also the county town and an important ferry port, with regular services to Dublin.
There is a certain amount of tourism in Anglesey, but not as much as there is on the North Wales coast. The island is rather agricultural in nature, although the port provides an important cluster of jobs and helps the economy greatly. As with any port town, Logistics Director jobs do become available in Holyhead, which makes Anglesey among the best place in the North Wales region to find such work.
