Flintshire is a county at the north east of Wales, bordering Cheshire on the east, Wrexham to the south and Denbighshire to the west. The county has a population of around 150,000, 18,000 of whom live in the largest town Connah’s Quay, although the administrative headquarter is in Mold. Flint itself is located on the Dee Estuary, and is home to around 12,000.
Flintshire has traditionally been an industrial region, and has exploited its good links with Liverpool, North Wales, and Cheshire to good effect. It is the only part of North Wales where tourism does not play a mojor role, but the amount of industry and population concentrations means that jobs do often come up in this county.
