Company Profile

Our client is a global organisation providing electrical product solutions to a wide range of sectors. This position will be responsible for the groups ownership of inbound and outbound freight and compliance activities.

The Role

  • Develop and enhance trade compliance processes to facilitate smooth import, export, inter-company, and drop-shipment operations, while implementing innovative solutions for added value.
  • Oversee commercial invoice management and trade compliance, including the establishment and maintenance of import/export lane matrices and relevant documentation.
  • Collaborate with forwarders to coordinate inbound and outbound bookings.
  • Establish and maintain monthly reporting structures to monitor and analyze key performance indicators.
  • Collect and analyze departmental data to optimize supplier management and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze carrier data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Consolidate transportation partnerships across the organization.
  • Evaluate current and potential network designs to optimize transportation logistics.
  • Conduct audits on freight billing documents to ensure accuracy and actively resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assess the financial impact of new programs and initiatives on transportation operations.
  • Provide project leadership for transport-oriented projects and drive change within the supply chain.

The Candidate

Demonstrated experience of delivering cost savings and process efficiency

  • Transportation, Import & Export experience with proven knowledge in trade compliance and international freight management
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to build relationships and negotiate with strategic suppliers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Astute commercial acumen
