Are you a Buyer with a manufacturing / engineering background looking for an exciting new challenge?

We are currently supporting an established manufacturing business in the Bolton area grow their Purchasing team, as they enjoy continued success and expansion.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a great working environment, including a modern, purpose-built office space and a best-in-class manufacturing facility.

Please note this role is 5 days per week onsite and is unsuited to someone seeking a hybrid working pattern. However if you enjoy the buzz of working onsite with Production and Engineering teams, then read on...!

What will the role involve?

• Running MRP for raw materials / component parts for Production
• Placing purchase orders and expediting deliveries
• Attending daily production meetings and resolving any day to day supply chain issues
• Undertaking strategic procurement projects to deliver added value and innovation
• Negotiating prices and commercial terms with suppliers to deliver cost savings and efficiencies

Ideal Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a fast-paced purchasing role within manufacturing
• Good working knowledge of MRP and BOM
• Confidence and tenacity to negotiate with suppliers
• High attention to detail and good organisation skills
