The role also requires an ability to absorb and comprehend changes in H&S law and the H&S implications of new technologies. This could involve study and attendance at seminars, where a receptive personality will be valued.
The job will involve a good deal of paperwork, digital and literal, so good computer skills, especially report-writing, will be necessary.

The county is a historic one, with Bute itself now being part of the Argyll and Bute council area, and Arran being in the North Ayrshire county.
Prospects for finding Health and Safety Manager jobs in Bute are relatively slim thanks to its low population and lack of heavy industry. However there is farming and tourism, which could produce some demand for the position. With Glasgow, Kilmarnock and Ayr just across the water, however, such jobs might be available with a little travel.
