The Head of Fulfilment is expected to develop and implement a robust logistics strategy across all market channels and manage the operational budget.
Responsible for leading the overall fulfilment operation for the whole organisation, the focus for this position to improve working practices to maximise efficiency and profitability across the operation. They oversee all cross-functional operational relationships to ensure business targets are met by providing leadership, motivation and by driving performance daily.
The skills required
The Head of Fulfilment should be a passionate and innovative leader who is willing to undertake ad hoc tasks for the good of the business. Excellent communication skills are required to influence at all levels as well as the ability to work on initiative in a highly pressurised environment.
Extensive knowledge of operational processes and practices with a familiarity of cross functional working is essential. They should be able to demonstrate operations management skills and have had previous involvement in project work.

Once known informally as Copperopolis because of its fame as a region for smelting Cornish copper, Swansea has transformed itself from a typical Industrial Revolution city to a modern, fashionable and affluent part of Wales. A key development came in 1981, when Swansea Enterprise Park became the UK’s first enterprise zone. With excellent transport connections in the shape of the A4067, A4217 and A48 and the South Wales Mainline, the zone continues to attract businesses, which means the logistics element is regularly on the lookout for Head of Fulfilment positions to be filled.
