The Head of Fulfilment is expected to develop and implement a robust logistics strategy across all market channels and manage the operational budget.
Responsible for leading the overall fulfilment operation for the whole organisation, the focus for this position to improve working practices to maximise efficiency and profitability across the operation. They oversee all cross-functional operational relationships to ensure business targets are met by providing leadership, motivation and by driving performance daily.
The skills required
The Head of Fulfilment should be a passionate and innovative leader who is willing to undertake ad hoc tasks for the good of the business. Excellent communication skills are required to influence at all levels as well as the ability to work on initiative in a highly pressurised environment.
Extensive knowledge of operational processes and practices with a familiarity of cross functional working is essential. They should be able to demonstrate operations management skills and have had previous involvement in project work.

East Lothian is a coastal county in the south east of Scotland, with Edinburgh to its west and Berwickshire (the Scottish Borders) to its south and Midlothian to its south west. To its north and east are the outlet of the Firth of Forth and the North Sea. The county town is Haddington, and thus the county was called Haddingtonshire until the early 20th century.
East Lothian has great connections to Edinburgh via the A1, A198 coast road and rail links. The county itself is relatively sparsely populated, with around 100,000 populating its 250 square miles (650 sq km) area. It serves mainly as a commuter and agricultural area. Towards its eastern edge, Head of Fulfilment work is probably more easily found in Edinburgh, but East Lothian does sometimes bring such jobs to our attention.
