Communication of often complex laws and protocols will be essential, as you may often be asked to explain the scope of certain customs rules if a company is looking to make strategic decisions based on the trading laws between two nations. Experience in customs compliance, tax or duty applications will be essential.

Dunbartonshire is a wide, thin strip of a county in the central Lowlands of Scotland. It is wedged between Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Stirlingshire and Argyll and Bute, and has the town of Dumbarton as its county town. Quite why the town is spelt with an M and the county with an N is a historical quirk, but it’s certainly worth noting if you’re applying for jobs here! (Dunbartonshire is sometimes called the County of Dumbarton, just to confuse matters.)
