You’ll be highly adept at data analysis – managing the finances of a company is part science, part instinct, and you’ll need to be able to analyse proposals with an open but critical mind. CFOs are mostly educated to BA or MA level, preferably in finance, accounting or economics, or perhaps also mathematics or some subject closely related to the company’s niche.

Bulmers makes Strongbow, Bulmers Cider and the aforementioned Woodpecker, but there are also Spinning Dog brewery, Wye Valley brewery and Weston’s Cider to keep the locals occupied (some of it makes it out of town too). With such a strong and popular market for nationally known products, Hereford could be a good place to seek Chief Finance Officer work at the moment.
